Choosing the Right Pellets
Choosing the perfect pellets for your airgun can be a tricky task, but worth getting right if you want to hit the target more often than not. Airgun pellets come in a wide variety of weights, sizes and shapes designed for different disciplines. If you're looking for hunting applications, your best bet is to aim for a domed pellet. The reason for this is that these pellets offer increased accuracy for cleaner kills, they are also incredibly popular with target shooters for this same reason.
Pointed pellets are also great for hunting, but these need to be handled with care as they often have their points damaged in transit which can cause inaccuracies. Flat and hollowpoint pellets are best used at close quarter shooting such as rats due to the spread on impact.
Pellet Weight
We also sell our pellets in a wide variety of weights (grains). The general rule of thumb is that low powered airguns should use lighter pellets compared to higher powered guns. For most sub 12ft/lbs airguns, pellet weight should be capped at 8gr for .177, and 16gr at .22.
